OK, I’ll admit it. I still have seen Frozen 2 yet. I know, I know! It’s just that I meant to watch it, but some of my customers at work said they didn’t like the second one as much, so I decided to put it off to the side. I’m probably going to watch it at some point, but I just haven’t got around it. However, I can still appreciate the cute Elsa palette from Colourpop without having seen the second movie. I’ll be honest again and say that I did not care for this palette at first, but it grew on me enough to want it really badly.Continue reading “Colourpop Elsa Palette Review + Swatches”
Hello, friends! It’s been a while since I’ve done a product review on the blog. I reviewed this a long time ago, but I never got around to uploading the photos and typing out the post. I’m now getting to it, but better late than never, right?Continue reading “Dewytree Miracle Pore Minimizing Serum Review”
Hi, friends! I just got off my final work shift before departing for my much anticipated friends reunion trip. Woohoo! I’m meeting a group of my study abroad friends whom I haven’t seen in over two years. I’m so excited to see all my wonderful friends after such a long time, and we had all these vacation plans for Florida and California including a trip to Walt Disney World. I’ve never been to Walt Disney World, so I was really looking forward to it, but we were just informed that it would be closed only a few days before our trip. What was months of planning suddenly became all for naught. We all centered our arrival airports and hotels around Walt Disney World and booked everything already other than the actual theme park tickets, so now we have to figure out what our vacation plans are still centered in Orlando in only a few days with many other attractions also closed due to the coronavirus. I wanted to see some really pretty Florida beaches and other nature-esque sights, but we’re kind of stuck in Orlando due to flights and having already booked the hotel. I was looking forward to Walt Disney World too, and that’s what motivated me to keep hustling and working hard these past few weeks because let’s be honest, the Rat out here collecting all our coints. I guess the bright side is that I get to save money. Well, if anyone is familiar with Florida, any suggestions on what we could do there would be very much appreciated! For the most part, it looks like we’ll be stuck in our hotel due to COVID-19, but here’s to making the most of our situation!
Stay safe my friends!
Hi, friends! You may have noticed I haven’t posted a lot of BoxyCharm related content lately. I subscribed to a six-month BoxyCharm subscription back in October (my first box was sent out November) as well as the newer premium box in more recent months, but I will be canceling all BoxyCharm subcriptions by the end of my six-month subscription period. There are two main reasons for doing this: one is overconsumerism and the other is the recent scandal that BoxyCharm has been caught up in.Continue reading “Why I’m Canceling My BoxyCharm Subscription”
Hello, friends! About a week ago, I finally had my JET Program interview in San Francisco. It was definitely very nerve-wracking but exciting at the same time; I was so nervous because I really wanted the job but also excited because it meant being one step closer to getting accepted into the program. My mom said she wanted to go with me, so we both took Caltrain to San Francisco early in the morning and stayed at a nearby coffee shop while I prepped for the interview. About 45 minutes before my interview start time, I walked over to Hotel Nikko, which was where the interviews were held. While I waited for my name to be called, I befriended a really nice girl who was also there for her interview. We just chatted about our majors, placement requests, and just how nervous we both were. Time passed by really quickly because before I knew it, my name was called for the interview. My interviewers were three women: one lady from the Consulate, a JET alum, and a Japanese professor from the University of Nevada. They were all very welcoming and friendly. I really enjoyed my interview and thought it went quite well, but I guess we will find out in about a month! The San Francisco JET Program coordinator informed us that results will likely be released around late March, so I’ll keep you all updated around then! In the meantime, I’ll just be here studying Japanese and preparing for life abroad again. I’m staying hopeful!
Looking forward to sharing some good news with you all in about a month’s time!
Hello, friends! As you can see from the title, I got an interview for the JET Program! This is literally a dream. I haven’t even been accepted into the program yet, but I feel like this is just such an incredible gift. I cannot believe it!
My interview is set for Monday, February 3, which means I only have two weeks to prepare. I really want this job, so I’m both nervous and excited! I’ve been studying Japanese in preparation for life and work in Japan, which is why I haven’t been posting much lately. I hope you all understand! I’ll be catching up with everything as soon as my interview is over. Until then, please pray for my acceptance into the program! Thank you, and I love you all!
Hello, friends! If you read my last post, you may remember that I recently got off the waitlist for BoxyCharm Premium! I am so excited to finally receive and share what I get in these monthly boxes. The past premium boxes (the ones I was unable to get because I was still on the waitlist at the time) included some really nice products I would have liked to get my hands on, so I’m really excited to share my first premium box with you all today!Continue reading “BoxyCharm Premium January 2020 Unboxing”
