A Quick Product Pickup

Hello, everybody! It’s been a really long time! How was everyone’s Christmas and New Year’s? Today, after work, I stopped by Nature Collection, a beauty products store (with the friendliest employees, I might add), to specifically pick up a lip product that I’ve been meaning to buy for a few weeks now.

I had originally bought this product for someone else as a thank you/Christmas gift, but I had been in the market for a long-lasting lip tint that would leave a stain and I really liked the tester swatch. No lie, the swatch left the back of my hand tinted for days even after immediate removal.

The mentioned product is called “Never Die Tint Ink” from VOV, which I believe is a sub-brand from The Face Shop. I bought the shade PK02 Coral Proof, but I think I might buy the other three colors because I love the finish so much! I debated between getting PK01 and PK02 (I had originally bought PK01 for the gift). There were also two other colors, but they were a standard red and bright orange so I figured I didn’t need them; however, now that I’ve seen the finish and tested out the application, I’m really considering getting those as well!

The finish brings to mind the word “lacquer” because of the shine and smoothness. The color is also very, very vivid. The application and finish reminded me of the Yves Saint Laurent Glossy Stains, and the hollow center applicator tip reminded me of the Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick applicator tip with the VOV applicator tip being more flexible.

Even after removal, the stain is still strong. I think the original price of these is 12,000 KRW each, but I picked this up for 5,000 KRW with membership discount. The employee told me that today was the last day of membership sale but a lot of beauty stores in Korea say that even though it isn’t the last day in order to increase sales. Guess we will find out tomorrow if I am willing to brave the negative ten degrees Celsius temperature!

Sorry for the lack of lip swatches! I took some photos but realized they did not come out very nicely. I’ll be sure to post them when I buy the rest of the colors!

Thanks for reading, and until next time,
