The Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner is a felt tip eyeliner pen that has great staying power. I used to work in a dining hall without air conditioning, and summers were terrible inside the hot and steamy dish room. One eventful day, I unthinkingly wore eyeliner to work. I was scrubbing pots and pans while my clothes were soaked in sweat from the humidity and heat when my coworker commented on the temperature of the room to me. I was very reluctant to make eye contact and respond to him because I was positive my eyeliner had melted down my entire face. You can imagine the shock I felt when I ran to the bathroom after my shift in the dish room while covering my face only to find out that my eyeliner was still in perfect condition.

I do find that this product smears while it is still wet but stays on once completely dry. When you go in to remove the product once it is dry, it comes off in flakes, making the removal process easier in my opinion.

The general rule is that the more colorful, brighter shades (excluding paradise pink) are more matte, whereas the darker shades have a sheen to them.

I hope you find this short post helpful if you’re looking into purchasing a new eyeliner!

Thanks for reading, and until next time,

  1. Super helpful to have all these swatched next to each other like this! I really enjoyed the short format as I only wanted to see the differences (on skin, not on a white background as on the manufacturer ‘s site) thanks. I found you through a photo search and I am happy to see your other product swatches, too – great job!

      1. Excellent, I look forward to seeing those swatches, thanks for replying. And thanks to these swatches, I decided to buy some!
I just received my order from the extra discount they ran on their sale section. I got four discontinued colors (at just over $7 each) in intense amethyst; indigo; intense sapphire; moss. I never tried this brand’s liquid eyeliner before and I love them. That suprises me because I prefer a brush tip, not a marker tip. But, these have especially flexible, finely tapered tips, so they feel familiar enough that I don’t have any problem with application. Have you experienced any problems with these drying out?

        1. That’s awesome! I actually didn’t experience much drying so hopefully you don’t either. I’m interested to see how these compare to the newer Colourpop liquid liners though!

          1. Are you getting some of those? (naturally, my next stop is to see them) I’ve never tried that brand, but now that I’ve bought these, I’m going to be interested how other liquid liners compare. BTW, if you use anything by Tarte, today is their big promo, get 7 for $63. I’m gonna try it, I think. Have a great day!
